With a large variety of women’s watches to choose from, Omega comes out with something completely fresh for the new season with the launch of the DeVille Collection. This renewed twist on an old design brings a charming new look for spring.Everything mid-century is hot now, and this watch is no exception.  It was first introduced in the 1950’s and is being embraced by a new generation. 

The watch features Super Luminova coated alpha-shaped hands that are very appealing against the SuperNova design of the dial, the same one used on the Constellations timepieces.  Eleven diamonds grace the hours, except for the 3 o’clock position where the diamond-polished date window is displayed.  The case is large, the hands are long and the dial makes a statement.  Elegance and fashion are a large part of women’s watches and in this one design they really come together; the style gives the case a slim profile and makes it look lighter than it really is. This timepiece is automatic with Omega Co-Axial caliber 8520/8521 movement making it very accurate. There are different versions that come in such metals as stainless steel, yellow gold and 18 carat rose gold.  It is said the yellow gold is the most stunning of the precious metals.

The DeVille has a power reserve of 50 hours and the dial comes in a variety of colors, one is made from mother of pearl or one can get it in black lacquer. The hands come in either steel or gold and the strap is made from stainless steel, yellow gold or rose gold. There is also an alligator leather strap option with an 18 carat gold fold over clasp. It is water-resistant to 30 meters and has a sapphire crystal protecting the dial. 

Omega ambassador Nicole Kidman presents the beautiful timepiece, it harkens to the days of a glamorous Hollywood and who better to present it. One version has the bezel encrusted with various sized diamonds for a brilliant look against the simple design of the case. The entire watch is opulent and rich in its presentation. In the 1950’s this watch was the first to be designed for women only. It had the smallest automatic movement ever made by Omega and was one of the first brands to make a self-winding watch. The new version incorporates the best features from the 50’s and makes it more elegant and refined than ever before. The polished 34mm case has the option of coming with or without pave diamonds. The exhibition back reveals the latest technology. The Omega Deville is quite a contender in fashion watches and will certainly turn heads.
